TALK: Iliso

iLiso Magazine is a research, archival and independent publishing project founded in 2018 with the sole task of attending to the depth and stakes of Black cultural production. iLiso is interested in publishing and disseminating critical reflections on fields of knowledge as varied as aesthetics, politics, culture, philosophy, theory, literature, architecture, to name a few, across the African continent and diaspora. iLiso’s pedagogical project is expressed through its regular Shifting Ground and Hangout Sessions, a co-creative curriculum building platform and reading sessions, and a series of crit-sessions that platforms works-in-progress from members of our community, respectively. iLiso is an incubator for emerging and innovative artistic interventions and curatorial concepts. It seeks to create multidisciplinary spaces of learning that foster critical dialogue through roundtable discussions, symposia, reading groups, film screenings, workshops etc.
